Economical situation, learning support reform and school investments are few examples of what we have talked and made decisions during the fall in education board. The education board has now worked half year with this new composition. Latest meeting was held on 10.12.2025 and it was our shortest so far. Board's longest meeting was 7 hours long.

The Social Democratic board group has worked actively and together. We have succesfully defended important things for us (for ex. small student groups) and no large scale retrenchements are aimed to our services next year. On the other hand our operational economy doesn't receive large scale investments even though some investments would be needed.

During the fall we as a education board have visited several of Kaarina's schools and daycares. This week we visited in Niemenkulma school in Piikkiö. In addition we have received feedback from residents and workers. 

Our work continues next year. Just before Christmas, we want to thank the other members and officials of the board for their debate launches and for co-operation.
