Youth Board (SRK)
The Youth Board is a youth advocacy group operating in the Turku and Kaarina parish federation area. Its activities are based on the obligation laid down in the Church Law to hear and involve young people in the decision-making of the church.
In addition to the parish federation, we cooperate with a Swedish-speaking parish, although administratively it belongs to the diocese of Porvoo.
The members of the board are elected for each term and a confirmed parish member under the age of 29 can be elected as a candidate. In addition, several of our members have a representative position in the local parish council.
I currently serve as the secretary of the Youth Board and on the presidium together with Chairman Rami Nurmi and Vice Chairman Elsa Lempinen. Previously, I served as social media corresponder 2022-2023. In addition, during the four years I have led or been involved in several working groups and issues.
